GRATEFULNESS: Why does the Bible constantly talk about being grateful? (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV) "Rejoice Always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 5:20 NIV) "Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." However, if you have an outlook that thinks, "what's in it for me?" Let's talk about it. I learned that the word "EVANGEL" (or Gospel) is Greek for Good News so when you share the news about Jesus you are telling God, "I'm grateful." Gratefulness also keeps us in God's will, is another way of worshipping and you become "better not bitter." You are also defeating the enemy (Satan) which only wants you to be in your own will, not God's and finally, Gratefulness causes miracles. We need to pray in Faith which in fact we are thanking God in advance for what he's about to do. But we can't rush the blessing. Anytime God is taking his time, he wants to do something even bigger than we asked or prayed about. Trust him and get out of the way. Grateful not hateful. Both are your choice~
