MOTHER'S DAY DINNER

SOURCE CHURCH

All the ladies who attended and were spoiled by the men who served us and made the day special, felt the theme which was: "YOU ARE INVALUABLE"

In other news.....

Congratulations Luis Alonzo. It was very emotional to see him graduate and transition to the next phase of his life. I have no doubt with his and his mom's strong belief in Jesus, he is headed for great things!

Favorite Devotional of May.

DIVINE MANDATES!

Grand rising and blessings, family today's topic is: DIVINE MANDATES. I never knew why I placed such high importance on taking care of the elderly and/or children. Children are seen as innocent and represent the beginning of life and our future! The elderly face physical decline or social isolation, requiring the community to repay the care they once provided to others. They represent wisdom and we can learn from their knowledge; just imagine the places they've been. Protection of the vulnerable is a theme throughout the Bible.

In many contemporary Christian teachings, a divine mandate is a specific purpose or "heavenly assignment" tailored to an individual's life. It is believed to be pre-ordained by God before a person's birth. (Isaiah 44:2, Psalm 139:13) Unlike a "gift"(a natural talent), a mandate is a sacred commission that requires active obedience and can be re-assigned or transferred if the recipient is unfaithful.

Other divine mandates include the Creation mandate. Which instructs us to be "fruitful and multiply,' fill the earth, and exercise stewardship over creation. (Genesis 1:28) Jesus gave us the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) to go and make disciples of all nations. These mandates consist of unconditional love, reflecting the type of care God has for humanity. It's divine compassion and shows the strength of a person (body/civilization) not by how they treat the powerful, but by how they treat those who have the least power.

In what ways are you participating or can you participate in divine mandates?

Heavenly father, thank you for giving me the willingness and ability to serve others. May I continue to be faithful in the assignment. In Jesus name. Amen 🙏

Have a great day.
